Nashville, TN - IMMERSE, the Gospel Music Association's Music Training Experience, is pleased to announce two new scholarship opportunities including the "Music Makes" scholarships to attend the upcoming IMMERSE event, and a second that will be awarded to three winners who are registered for the reVIEWyou track. As the event nears, more artists are being announced as performers and hosts, creating a one-of-a-kind experience for attendees.

The Gospel Music Association is accepting applications for their "Music Makes" scholarship program. "Music Makes" is a program focused specifically on individuals who are using music to make a difference in their local communities. Winners of the scholarship receive free registration to attend IMMERSE 2013, plus VIP access during the event. Quantities are limited.

To apply for the "Music Makes" scholarship, applicants need to submit a brief paragraph explaining how they are utilizing music to make a difference in your region, as well as contact information. Using the subject line "Music Makes Application", this information needs to be submitted via email to immerse@gospelmusic.org. Applications are due by May 22.

The National Praise and Worship Institute is honored to offer three $5,000 scholarships to the reVIEWyou winners in "Songwriting," "Singer/Songwriter-Female," and "Singer/Songwriter-Male." These generous scholarships pay for the one-year program for training praise and worship leaders in a unique conservatory design. Held at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, NPWI's faculty, internship opportunities, missions experience and one-on-one musical training is the perfect next step for artists who have completed the IMMERSE experience.

The Tuesday Night Songwriter Showcase has always been a favorite offering of IMMERSE. Attendees to this year's event will be treated to a private concert, featuring many of today's top songwriters, performing and telling stories behind the songs and their careers. Hosted by Plumb, the event will feature artists such as Matt Hammitt, Jon Steingard, Seth Mosely, Kevin Max, David Zach, Meredith Andrews, Karen Peck and others.

This year's Monday Night Concert features a double concert event. First, MIKESCHAIR will be performing a private concert where they will be telling stories behind their songs, giving hope and encouragement to the young artists in attendance. Then, there will be an alumni "Where are They Now?" concert featuring the winners from IMMERSE 2012.

IMMERSE is the only event of its kind where up and coming songwriters and business professionals can get hands-on training directed by industry leaders in literally every aspect of a music career. Staying true to the Gospel Music Association's mission to expose, promote and celebrate the Gospel through music, IMMERSE seeks to inspire artistry and commerce, while keeping it's focus solely on Christ.

Programming for the 2013 event includes classes in music business, songwriting and artist development. As in past years, IMMERSE will offer unprecedented access to some of the most influential executive industry leaders in Christian music. Conference speakers, competition judges and live guest performers will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
